Mississippi - It is Time for a New Flag!
I think Mississippi should change its state flag. The Confederate flag symbol should be removed because it shows support for slavery and racism. The Rebel flag should not be celebrated because it shows pride in a time when human beings were mistreated. As long as Mississippi flies its current state flag, other states will think the people of Mississippi dislike African-Americans. It is time for a new flag in the state of Mississippi.

Hello, William. I am an African-American female. I agree with you. I think we should change the flag. Maybe we could have a contest to see who can design a flag that represents the love and respect that people in Mississippi have for all people. Do you think this is a good idea?

I agree completely William! Removing such a decisive and prejudicial symbol from Mississippi's state flag is long overdue. ALL of the people of Mississippi should be represented in a positive light.
